Sephora : Ultimate oil-in-gel lipstick remover Review

Sephora : Ultimate oil-in-gel lipstick remover

Who has never had a hard time removing a lip stain, matte lipstick or liquid lipstick ? Honestly if it didn’t happen to you well you are not human.

Being constantly trying stuff and playing with make up can be really harsh on my skin and when it comes to lipstick it can be a big problem. Some lipstick can stain your lips for days no matter what you are doing and trust me I know what I am talking about. To be fair I wasn’t really looking for a product like that, the product just came to me and I am glad.

Last time I was in France visiting Sephora that little baby grabbed my attention and caught my eyes instantly. I am always luring Sephora’s own brand anyway because some stuff are really good. But this well I gave it a go, first I was not convinced but I thought that for 6.99 euros why not. If it is a Hit perfect, if it is a miss well that’s the life of a beauty addict I guess.

So l have put that product up to the test for a good 5 month so I can give you a really good review about it. Let just say that now this lipstick remover is constantly in my bag.

I love the tiny size of it and you don’t need a lot, I am only half way trough and trust me I have used it like crazy. The texture is an hybrid, it is in between the gel and the oil so it is really easy to apply. I love the fact that there is no scent whatsoever. So you only need a tiny amount, put in on your finger tip or on a cotton pad and rub gently, as you would remove your make up at the end of the day and POUF nothing left at all.

Some people may not like it but it is made with parabens but in that case you need it to really remove all the lipstick stuck in your fine lines on your lips and it work. The formula is also enriched with aloe vera to soothe and hydrate. Which means that your lips will not be hurt or dry after using that product, you will be good to apply another lip product straight away.

To use it do not follow the instructions (In my opinion) don’t leave it for 30 sec, I always gently apply it like a lip balm (so I can spread the product) then I start to rub (gently again) in circles. Remember you don’t need much so don’t waste any products, just work the tiny drop you got in the first place.

Overall, I really love it and I really recommend that product to every beauty addict. It is important to have good make up but even more important to have good make up remover and when it comes to remove lipstick well there isn’t that many products on the market at all. At the moment it is on offer so give it a go, you will not be disappointed and trust me as the trend is on for matte lipstick and lip stain, you need one in your life.

Let me start by saying that “Mama Allie is HAPPY”. I was waiting for a product like that for ages, and finally Soap and Glory made everything come true. This is such an amazing quality product. The price is so small (£3.50), the range of colors simple and gorgeous and don’t let me start on the formula because I am IN LOVE.

Background Story & General Impression

These Babies are from the “Sexy Mother Pucker” collection but the formula is way better than the big sticks and the colors are just amazing. It is a pop of creamy moisturizing wonder on your lips. Love the fact that the size is also tiny so you can litteraly bring it with you everywhere.

I love the packaging and shape of the product. As you can see on the picture it looks like a lipstick, the tip is not round like most of the lippies in sticks and this is a genius idea. It gives you more control and it applies evenly.

This product promise you “3D” lips and it does the job perfectly. I love the fact that this product is not minty, there is no cooling/minty feeling whatsoever so if you are a hater of mint tingling sensation well you are going to love that formula. It is full of pre-peptides which means that it boost the natural collagen in you lips. Simply love the idea ! Not to mention that those babies have a Vanilla taste that I adore.

The range is made of 5 colors and to me it is not enough of course because I love it so much but all the good colors are here. The 3 that I have are a really good example of the range.

Nudist : Is a nude (on the pinky side), on the swatch it is very clear but with the right lip liner it is very even and opaque.

Pink-A-Boo : A lovely rosy pink, perfect for everyday for a no make up day.

Pink Punch : Gorgeous Pink red, very pigmented and lovely on his own or paired with a nice fuschia lip liner.

My Opinion

I love it. I will for sure get the two other colors because here in the UK it is the first time that a drugstore product is doing so well. I am pleased with everything and the price is so tiny I still can’t believe it. So get your hands on them in boots because right now it is buy one get one half price so it is totally worth it better than any chubby sticks on the market right now.

My Note : 10/10

Make up Brands : Why ?

Capture d’écran 2015-08-21 à 00.02.16

This Post is just to let my frustration go away because man I am tired. It is going to sound very stupid and selfish (Yeah, for some people) but the fact that some Brands are not available in certain countries is really bugging me.

When you watch YouTube channels or when you read blogpost about beauty products and make up items well most of the time you just want say “Ok, just take my money I need this in my life”. Unfortunatly most of the time it is not possible because hey You are in the Uk and that YouTuber is in the US. So that thought came to me  : What the hell ?

I do believe and understand that there is rules, that shipping cost a lot and bla bla but come one brands get it together. Especially now that we have internet and that you guys (from those Brands) create website well it is all available for us to see on the other side of the world. So let me tell you that sometimes I feel like I am on a Make up Diet, I can take a look but not to get my hands on it.

Of course we have all those old friends, Amazon, eBay or even places like Feelunique or Sephora Europe. But most of the time I am really on the hunt for drugstore products and let’s get serious, I feel pain in my little Make Up geeky heart because I can’t own that Wet ‘n’ Wild eyeshadow palette or that Milani Lipstick.

This is even more frustrating for me when I watch Uk (or French, I get the best of Both worlds) YouTubers or Bloggers raving about those products because they had the chance to travel or being sent products because they are “famous”. I am not jealous of their fame, don’t get me wrong here, I am simply jealous of their make up ah ah ! No let’s get serious I know that now it is very hard to not talk about foreign brands, and you know the drill we always want what we can’t get but I always have that “Unfair” thought going on and on in the back of my head.

I am writing this because I am planning a huge amazon Haul on brands I cannot get in the uk but just to name a few Wet ‘n’ Wild, Cover girl, NYX (yup because their US website is way better), Tarte, Bite Beauty, LA Girl, ELF or Shops like Bath and Body Works just to name a few please ship internationally. My mind would be in peace (not my wallet!) and my frustration way less unbearable.

Disclaimer : Of course I over exaggerate but you know me, always on the sarcastic side! But seriously this is something that I don’t like and in the “Beauty Guru World” this is a massive problem that nobody ever talk about so I wanted to mention it and let it out once and for all.
